Policy

Our policy for uniformconsignment.com is straightforward. We will purchase your child’s gently worn clothing and pay 20-40% of the anticipated sales price. And, when you purchase your next uniform sizes, 5-10% will be given to the school that your child is currently enrolled in (see Consignment below).

Clothing Guide:

We specialize in Dennis, Educational Outfitters and French Toast Brand uniforms but do carry various other brands that meet basic uniform requirements. The clothing is offered in all sizes and will be labeled as good, better, best. We sell good items at 50% of retail, better are sold at 65% of retail, and best are sold at 75% of retail. All the way around, you will be getting a great value and won’t have to stress when your child grows two or three sizes in one school year.

An example of "Good" is no tears, some wear, maybe some slight markings but still acceptable.

"Better" is considered no tears, less wear, looks like we’ve loved the garment and are easily able to pass as “nearly new”.

"Best" is categorized as looking close to brand new but someone did wear it before you. The items are free of all tears, marks, wear, etc.

Labeling:

Please make sure all labels are removed and/or tags with name labels. For future, please make sure you choose a label that is peel and stick so it can be easily removed. Please note that items with iron on labels or with labels on tags or written directly on the material may not be accepted for consignment or may have to be sold at a lower price. We recommend Mable's Labels, please see www.mableslables.com for more information. These labels stay on through washing & drying but will peel off when you're ready to sell your items.

Consignment:

We buy your items at 20-40% of what we will sell them for and is determined based on the condition the merchandise is in, the season, current resale values and our experience of how quickly the merchandise will sell based on any current trends. We will pay you right away so you don't have to wait for your items to sell in order to get paid. The proceeds of the sale are split with 20-40% of the sale price going to you, our clients, and the difference will be retained by Uniformconsignment.com to keep the website in operation, allow for free local delivery in the Denver Metro Area, and any other unexpected expenditures. We will then give 5-10% to the school that the uniform is purchased for as a charitable contribution to aide in their fundraising efforts. 5% is given to schools that are not yet signed up as affiliates and 10% is given to all affiliate schools (also called “school of choice). Consignment activity is by appointment only but flexible and convenient for your busy schedule. If you wish not to take any proceeds, then your full proceeds will instead be donated to your school as a donation in your name.

How to Purchase:

We set personal shopping appointments or sell online. We love personal shopping so your child/children can try items on to insure the best fit. Email us to set a convenient appointment today. We are always getting new items in and inventory changes constantly. If we don't have what you need right now, we will notify you once we do and offer free delivery if you’re located within the Denver Metro area.

Pricing is 25-50% off retail prices and many items are new with tags or worn only a few times before being outgrown. You'll save big and be able to shop Green until your children are finished with school required uniforms.

Payment to Schools:

Checks will be sent to all schools that have credited sales quarterly unless otherwise requested by the school.

Condition for Consignment:

Consignment items must be in excellent condition in order to receive the most profitable return. If items are in fair or good condition, depending on the actual overall wear, we will determine whether we will agree to purchase and will likely sell at a deep discount. Please make sure you point out any and all defects/wear so we can note in our description. We also require all items to be clean, pressed, and free of all nametags. Items with iron on labels will be accepted but, again, these items will likely have to be deeply discounted in order to sell. If items require cleaning or minor sewing repair, we will have to simply pay less for your items and launder and/or repair them before selling.
